The Towers of Channelside and the Channelside District
The Towers boasts two 28-story buildings, which includes eight grand penthouses.
Formerly a warehouse district, Channelside is now what’s called a “mixed-use” urban hub. Thus lots of things are happening at once in this part of town! First off, this is the place for loft living. Condos and high-rises overlook the channels (Ybor Channel on the east and Garrison Channel on the south) with Harbour Island nearby. The Channel District sits just east of downtown next to Port Tampa Bay, which means the downtown redevelopment boom is spilling over into territory once monopolized by industry and shipping. Speaking of ships, this is the place to launch your cruise to the Caribbean or Mexico. Or you can take a trolley to historic Ybor City. There’re more amenities in the works, including new parks and green space. In addition, news-site 83 Degrees reports, “The massive Water Street project includes plans to revitalize the former Channelside Bay Plaza as the mixed-use Sparkman Wharf office, retail and restaurant complex.” Even now you can walk to restaurants, coffee shops and a new Publix grocery store. Housing choices include Towers of Channelside and The Place at Channelside. Not only is this a walkable neighborhood, but you can also watch Fourth of July fireworks from your balcony!
