Come watch the Downtown Tampa Attractions Association celebrate New Year’s Eve in style with their annual New Year’s Eve Fireworks in Channelside at midnight. The Light Up Tampa Bay event will consist of a dramatic fireworks display choreographed to music and launched off a barge in the Garrison Channel. The festivities can be seen from Channelside Bay Plaza in addition to the Florida Aquarium, American Victory Ship, Yacht Starship, Cotanchobee Park, the Marriott Waterside, Harbor Island, the St. Pete Times Forum, and Bayshore Boulevard.
This New Year’s Eve party is one of the largest in the Tampa Bay Region and is also the official post parade event for the Outback Bowl’s New Year’s Eve Parade and Pep Rally in Ybor City. Ring in 2010 with live music and entertainment, your choice of favorite night spots, fireworks and of course a ball drop at midnight!
Parking will be available in Channelside, but spots will fill up quickly so event goers are encouraged to also utilize Tampa’s TECO Line Streetcar. What better way to say goodbye to 2009 than experiencing all that downtown Tampa has to offer with this free event!
Sponsored by Miller Light, the Florida Aquarium, HART, TECO,
Hooters, City of Tampa, Tampa Tribune, Brighthouse Networks,
and 10 Connects.
And when you do go out to celebrate in downtown, park the car and take the services provided by HART! Both the TECO Line Streetcar and the Intown Trolley will operate until 2:00 a.m. on New Years Eve. Get details by clicking here.
