Why use a Realtor, aren’t they all the same?
Did you know Eighty-five percent of sellers were assisted by a real estate agent when selling their home, according to NAR Research, and 79 percent of buyers purchased their home through a real estate agent or broker.
Top Realtors should be experts in their field, whether you hire a listing agent to sell your home, or engage the services of a buyer’s agent, you should be prepared to interview them. Here are some tips to finding a good agent:
Make sure you do your research and only hire an agent with a proven track record.
Chances are if they are top-notch agents, they will have a roster of satisfied clients. Check their credentials and look at their testimonials (here’s mine).
What about a background check? If there has been a complaint filed against a Realtor in Florida it is public record. All you have to do is go to The Department of Business and Professional Regulation website and type in their name. You can also use this site to file a complaint against an agent if you feel they have not represented you appropriately, or acted in an unethical manner. I wonder how many people are actually doing this?
A good Realtor should offer you all the services outlined in this video. It’s that simple!
