The article “Bidding War Hype Damages Housing Market” by Broderick Perkins examines the real estate market throughout the United States and, more specifically, how bidding wars do more harm than good. In the article Perkins says, that while most homes average 2-3 offers, in some markets bidding wars are common. Tampa, FL, is one of those markets.
Catanese was asked to speak about her 10 years of knowledge of the Tampa real estate market. She is quoted discussing the factors she sees behind bidding wars. “It depends on neighborhood, price and inventory. It’s happening a lot, but to say all homes would be inaccurate,” she said.
